Skin Cancer Risk Assessment

Skin Cancer Risk Assessment

Sadly, Australia has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world, and two in every three Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer by the age of 70. That is why it is so important that patients be effectively assessed for skin cancer risk and get regular checks for new skin cancers.

Who needs a skin cancer risk assessment?

If you have a history of previous skin cancer, immune suppression or a strong family history of melanoma, you are considered to be a high-risk patient. In this case, you should have a skin cancer risk assessment up to four times a year.

As well as knowing your own body and doing regular self-checks, you should see a professional for a skin cancer risk assessment once per year.

Skin cancer checks

Our clinic at Miranda offers a skin cancer risk assessment and subsequent screening based on your skin examination and background history. Part of this service also includes educating you on signs of skins cancer so that you become aware of your own skin and can return at any time should you be concerned about possible skin cancer symptoms such as a new or changing skin lesion.

The power of integration

The unique Integrated Specialist Healthcare Clinic brings together dermatology and plastic surgery to provide immediate access to specialist services should you require them.
